The "Concept"
Damascus steel was born from an ancient forging technique, which allows it to gain strength, durability and flexibility. The great aspect of it, manifests itself in its design. Indeed damascus steel is very famous for its contrasts, which once revealed with acid lets discover hypnotizing lines. It can be manufactured with several combinations of materials, while we have selected a fine combination of high carbon alloy steel 1095 and 15N20. These steels will be bent and forged together at least 5 times to obtain up to 200 layers.

The handle of the knife can be made in blue thermochromic resin with incorporation of aluminum shavings, in aeronautical carbon fibers 100% recycled (A French innovation), in French bio-sourced Olivier, in Walnut, in phosphorescent resin… or all other materials can be in your mind.

Designed and produced in Aix-en-Provence in our workshop in partnership with skilled craftsmen from Thiers, the capital of cutlery in France.
